Can't Get Enough

This past Sunday we celebrated Easter with Cale's side of the family. I know it seems rather late, but this was the only time we could all get together so it worked out well. We got to see our nephew Max and niece Cora whom we just can't get enough of! We live over an hour away so when we get to see them we soak up every minute of it! I just love being an Aunt and can't wait to be a mother someday too! We had a wonderful meal and lots of quality time with the family. I was only able to get pictures of Cora this time but here a few I wanted to share.

Love,
Love those big blue eyes!

Snuggle time with Uncle Cale!

Such a big girl now!

Pumpkin Carving

Carving pumpkins is something that I haven't done since I was little. I forgot just how messy this can actually be! From start to finish it probably took us around 2 and half hours! That included all of the gut work that you have to do. I thought about saving the seeds and roasting them in the oven to eat later but decided to just focus on our task at hand! Cale decided on a haunted house stencil and I picked the one labeled "little darlings." Much to our surprise we probably picked two of the hardest ones out of the book! There was so much detail that we were for sure they wouldn't turn out! It was really nice just to focus on our pumpkins and slow down from our fast paced lives! I do know why this is only done once a year but am looking forward to doing this again next year! If you are hesitant about pumpkin carving let me tell you it is fun for all ages!

Fun Fall Day

A couple of Saturdays ago Cale and I decided to travel to the Anderson Apple Orchard and pick our own apples and pumpkins! It was a little bit cold but definitely a beautiful fall day! I couldn't believe just how huge this place was! It had acres upon acres of apple trees of every kind you could think of! After stuffing our bag full of apples we decided to pick out our own pumpkins to carve since neither of us had done this since we were little. At the end of our day we knew we couldn't leave without trying one of their elephant ears and getting some of their delicious apple cider! I highly recommend that if you have never been before that you go and don't forget to stop by the concession stand! We had such a fun day and can't wait to go back again next year!

There's always a first for everything!

Wow I can't believe that I am finally embarking on the journey of blogging! There are so many people that I know whom have been doing this forever that it only seemed appropriate. Most of my blogging friends have children to blog about, but I decided to go ahead and share what's new in the lives' of the Cassel Family before the children come! Remember that this is all new and may take me awhile to adapt! :) I hope that everyone enjoys our journey as much as we do!
